After living all over the world, I learned that the most powerful thing you can give someone isn’t a destination—it’s a place to feel safe, rooted, and at home.
I decided to get my real estate license when I moved back to California, but the seeds were planted much earlier. My stepfather was a contractor and my dad worked in flooring, so I spent many of my summers on construction sites. I grew up around homes, projects, and problem-solving—it was part of my everyday life. When the opportunity came to return to San Francisco, I also wanted to be closer to my mom, which made the decision feel right on every level.

I’m a third-generation San Francisco native, and I have a deep love for this city. Still, in high school, I couldn’t wait to explore the world and make a difference. I landed in London and hitchhiked through Europe, spending Christmas in Bethlehem before continuing to Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar, and more! I traveled to 18 countries. Photography became my passport—working as part of a National Geographic crew opened doors to incredible experiences and cultures.
Those years changed me. I learned how to adapt quickly, communicate clearly, and navigate unfamiliar environments—skills that later became invaluable in real estate. I also gained a deep appreciation for home and stability. After living in the Caribbean while raising my son, I relocated to New York in the 1990s. Who didn’t want to live in New York then?
I worked at Blondie’s Sports Bar on the upper west side, while continuing my photography career, shooting entertainment, architecture, and even working in set design for off-Broadway theaters. The city was electric, all that energy combined with being a strong single mom, made me feel empowered.
After 9/11, the city changed, and so did I. I began missing San Francisco and felt a growing pull to be closer to my family and mom as she got older. Starting over has never scared me, so I returned home and decided it was finally time to get my real estate license.

At first, I balanced both worlds—flying to New York to work and save money, then returning to San Francisco to show homes. After two years, my real estate business had grown enough for me to step into it full-time. For the past 21 years, real estate has been my focus. When the market crashed, I specialized in short sales, distressed properties, and worked closely with asset managers. I’m proud to say I helped hundreds of families avoid losing their homes during one of the most difficult periods in real estate history. This economic event taught me the true value of a Realtor is in helping families establish, protect, and grow a legacy for generations to come.
Life had another unexpected turn when I became the guardian for my nephew. He came to live with me when he was one year old, and he changed my life—again! The alternative was foster care, and that was never an option. I bought a home and focused on expanding my business and real estate portfolio.
Today, as a preteen he loves football, and I’ve become a proud football mom. I still love photography, traveling throughout the U.S., and I hope to return to international travel soon.
Real estate has given me a way to create stability, serve families, and build a life rooted in purpose, resilience, and home.
With 21 years of experience and a consistent ranking in the top 2% of my network, I bring a high level of expertise, strong negotiation skills, and a solutions-first mindset to every transaction. I’m deeply committed to finding answers, even in complex situations, and I don’t stop until the right path forward is clear. Thanks to my background in construction, I see details that many agents may miss—identifying potential issues, red flags, and opportunities. I excel at assessing a home’s value and pricing it strategically. When selling, I focus on preparing properties before they hit the market to maximize appeal and marketing impact.
I offer highly personalized guidance to both buyers and sellers, especially in the upscale market. I have an intimate understanding of neighborhoods and market dynamics, across all the bay area counties. I match my clients with the right location and property. I’m happy to meet clients wherever is most convenient for them. I also meet them exactly where they are in life, helping them move forward. At its core, I believe real estate is a powerful tool for building long-term wealth; I’m dedicated to guiding my clients toward that goal.
Sincerely,

Heather Stoltz
